Marked joined RDA in June 2022. After completing his Diploma in Civil Engineering at Otago Polytechnic he worked for a construction company and an engineering consultancy before heading over to Perth for a couple of years working for the local water authority.
“Coming back from Australia and settling in Invercargill I have worked with both the Invercargill City and Southland District Councils undertaking infrastructure design and project management work, mainly around Three Waters, which included the first stage of the Branxholme water supply mains duplication.
For the past 6 years I have been employed as a contracts manager for a local construction company as site manager for the installation of underground services on a large dairy plant build as well as tendering and managing numerous civil infrastructure works.
I look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to RDA to assist clients in achieving their desired outcomes.”

JT’s working career started as a graduate technician where he undertook QA for various roading contracts, working his way up to Design Engineer where his focus was on roading projects which varied from retaining walls, new road layouts to standard “road rehab” projects. JT’s next role as a Contract Manager for a Contracting company (who held the local council’s roading maintenance contract) was to run the day-to-day activities of the siteworks crew. These roles have helped JT gain a lot of knowledge and experience which he is looking forward to bringing to the RDA team.
